We are a key player in the UK and European energy market, specialising in trading gas, power and carbon. We play a crucial role in Sumitomo Corporation’s energy business, as a 100% subsidiary.
Since our inception in 2018, our team has grown alongside our expanding business portfolio and commercial activities. We are continuously broadening our trade portfolio in the UK and Europe, actively entering new markets and enhancing our service offerings. Our Operations, Middle, and Back office teams ensure smooth and efficient operations, supporting the growth and meeting the increasing demands of our partners and clients.
What we do
We trade physical and financial gas, power, and carbon in the UK and Europe. We provide structured solutions in energy markets, which drive growth and foster collaboration with partners and customers.
- Asset optimisation
- Product trading: Leveraging time, location and product spreads, utilising meteorologists, analysts and AI algorithms to manage positions
- Cross-border gas and power trading
- Providing gas and power hedging and market access solutions to energy retailers and corporate consumers
- Cross-commodity trading: Leveraging expertise in both gas and power and carbon markets, as well as our collaboration with Sumitomo colleagues trading many additional commodities (Including oil products, precious and base metals)
- LNG trading business: Leveraging Sumitomo Corporation’s worldwide LNG portfolio
